2011 IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Automation opened at Shanghai International Convention Center on May 9, 2011. ICRA 2011 was the 28th annual meeting of ICRA. It was the first time that it took place in mainland, China. The theme of the conference was “Robot Makes Life Better”, reflecting that robot technology is closely related with human life and can make life better.

Four-wheel Mobile Robot

ICRA is flagship annual meeting of IEEE, which is also the most influential international conference of the field. It provides a platform for experts and scholars to communicate. Experts and scholars of certain fields from all over the world participate in it.

Foreign guest operating explosive-handling robot

ParnterX took many robots to the meeting, including the modularization industrial innovation, stereoscopic warehouse, sorting factory, research robot, household educational robot, chess playing robot, explosive-handling robot, industrial arm and four-wheel mobile robot, etc. The demonstration of these robots attracted many audiences.

On May 12, as organized by the host, the four-wheel mobile robot took part in the robot tour and went around the site with other robots participating in the conference. The scene was astonishing. All visitors took photos. This was a climax of the exhibition.
