WER 2015 Chinese Open took place at Tsing Hua University from November 28 to 29. More than 500 teams, 1500 participants and foreign teams took part in the contest.

Basic Education 2nd Office, Educational Equipment and Instrument R&D Center, Electrified Education Place, Adolescent Science and Technology Center of Science Association, China Education Association and experts from universities presented at the opening ceremony. It was hosted by Professor Zhao Mingguo from Tsing Hua University Robot Control Lab and WER Rule Research Institution. At the same time, WER Chairman Jake Mendelssohn and Representatives from other contest regions expressed congratulatory letter to wish the success of WER 2015 Chinese Championships.

After the opening ceremony, leaders and guests viewed the contested and appreciated the form and scale of WER. Abilix, subordinated to PartnerX, played as exclusive platform of WER and was accepted and appreciated by experts.

After the 2-day contest, in the end 18 prizes were determined including engineering ability contest and engineering innovation contest. Winners are likely to take part in the WER U.S. Open held in July 2016 and the WER Switzerland Open held in October 2016.

This contest is the final of Chinese region in 2015.

The contest obtained the support from government, domestic and foreign experts and scholars.

At the opening ceremony, the non-profit foundation under Abilix, sponsor of WER, provided fund and equipment for the “Educational Robot Dream” candlelight plan.

Contestants are debugging their equipment and enjoying the happiness brought by building and debugging.
