At 6 pm, October 20, the 6th International Robot Contest concluded in Seoul, Korea. This contest was held by Ministry of Knowledge Economy and was charged by Seoul National University of Technology, KAIST and Pohang Institute of Intelligent Robotics. Chinese Delegation was invited to compete with 30 other delegation. After the 2-day contest, Chinese Delegation won second prize of the humanoid project.
As introduced by leader of Chinese Delegation, Dr. Xiong Youjun from Shanghai PartnerX Robotics Co., Ltd., the contest was held in 206 to promote the “Robotic World”. Together with the contest there are exhibitions, seminars, dual meet, etc. After 6 years, it has become one of the most influential contests. In this IRC, there were more than 8000 participants of 4000 teams from over 30 countries. The audience reached 50000. There were nine projects with 22 scopes involved. In which there were 11 humanoid projects including boxing, living challenge match, steeplechase, up and down stairs, 5-meter run, object recognition, robot penalty kick, basketball, etc.

When Chinese Delegation arrived at the arena, the chairman Kim Young Seog met the delegation, and introduced the history and development if IRC and the original intention of inviting Chinese Delegation. Dr. Xiong introduced the Xpartner Cup and invited Kim Young Seog. Kim Young Seog hoped that the technological communication can last long. After the contest, Prof. Kim presented prizes to Chinese winners.
